Rise and Dine, Weekend Brunch Arrives at Centro Shaw Lido
Weekends on Orchard Road just got an earlier start. From Saturday 24th October, Centro at Shaw Theatres Lido opens its doors at 10am every Saturday, Sunday, eve of public holiday and public holiday for a brand-new Weekend Brunch menu, two hours ahead of our usual noon opening. Brunch menu is available till 2pm.
Picture sun-drenched tables and plates made for sharing (or not, we won’t judge!). Whether you’re rounding up the crew, planning a breezy brunch date or fuelling up for a big day of shopping in Orchard, Centro is where your weekend kicks off.
Brunch with a View
Up on Level 5 of Shaw Theatres Lido, floor-to-ceiling windows frame sweeping views over Orchard Road, so the city's busiest street becomes your backdrop rather than your obstacle course.
The menu takes its cue from contemporary Australian living, with fresh produce, bright flavours and a relaxed attitude. It's everyday luxury, the kind of brunch that feels like a treat without needing a special occasion.
The Savoury Scene Stealers
Harajuku Savoury Waffle ($22). Our chef's showstopper. A golden vegetable waffle is stacked with a poached egg, Brussels sprouts kimchi, pickled ginger and spring onion, then finished with bonito flakes and a zigzag of Kewpie mayonnaise. Savoury, tangy and a little playful, it's brunch with a Tokyo accent.
Potato, Onion & Rosemary Rosti ($25). A crisp, lacy nest of shredded potato topped with ribbons of smoked salmon, cool crème fraîche, poached eggs, glistening salmon roe and chives. Crunch, cream and a pop of brine in every forkful.
Centro Shakshouka ($22, vegetarian). Spicy tomato, onion and housemade red pepper harissa simmered with butterbeans, cannellini beans and spinach, crowned with labneh and a poached egg. Mop it all up with grilled pita.
The classics, done right. Eggs Florentine with sautéed spinach and our signature hollandaise on an English muffin ($22). A hearty Pastrami & Corned Beef Hash with caramelised onions and toasted brioche ($24). Or try something unexpected for a brunch table, our Cacio e Pepe spaghetti with pecorino, crushed black pepper and a poached egg ($22, vegetarian).
Build your plate with sides like avocado, sautéed mushrooms or an extra 150g of smoked salmon or pastrami.
For the Sweet Tooth
Swedish Pancakes ($20, vegetarian). Delicate, golden crêpe-thin pancakes folded and layered with lemon curd, a cloud of mascarpone, homemade marmalade and fresh orange segments. A little jug of saffron orange sauce comes on the side, so you can pour as much sunshine as you like.
Grilled Homemade Banana Bread ($14). Warm off the grill with whipped maple butter and salted caramel sauce. Ideal with a flat white.
Chia Seed Pudding ($18). A lighter start with blueberries, banana, candied pecans and Greek yoghurt.
Cheers to the Weekend
No brunch is complete without a good cup. Our Espresso & Matcha Bar pours specialty coffee from Toby's Estate, including the cult-favourite Salted Caramel Popcorn Latte ($7), alongside matcha from Matcha Project, such as the Pomelo Oat Iced Matcha Latte ($7), and seasonal specials like the Crème Brûlée Matcha.
Making a morning of it? Brunch cocktails start at $18, from the Moneypenny Mimosa and Casablanca Bloody Mary to a Hugo Spritz. Martini lovers can explore The Martini Collection, while the Curtain Call mocktail ($14) keeps things zero-proof.
And for celebrations, birthdays or simply because it's Sunday, there's free-flow prosecco at $60++ per person for 90 minutes.
Open to Everyone, Movie Optional
You don't need a cinema ticket to brunch with us. Centro is open to all, so drop by for a leisurely weekend meal on its own.
Of course, if you'd like to make a day of it, brunch makes the perfect prelude to an afternoon film at Shaw Theatres Lido, just steps away.
